Joanna Cook, author of The Wrenolds of Elm Tree Cottage
Joanna Cook is a native of Joplin, Missouri, which is located in the
southwestern part of the state.  She recently retired after teaching
elementary music for 32 years in the Joplin School District.

She earned a BS in Music from Missouri Southern State University and
a Master's in Music from Pittsburg State University.

Joanna loves running and walking and enjoys participating in 5k runs
with her daughter, Juliana, and son, Jeb.  In July, 2009, she and her
daughter ran in the London Asics 10k along with 27,000 other runners
from around the world.

She also loves traveling abroad, especially to the English countryside,
reading, observing nature, drawing, gardening, collecting antiques, and
playing the piano.  She is the organist at her church.

The Wrenolds of Elm Tree Cottage is her first published children's
book.  The Wrenolds will be having further adventures as the series
