Eva Rice & Freda Roberts
My name is Eva Rice. I grew up in Central New York State where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Oswego. Soon after college I went to work for Verizon and retired from the company. I now live in Florida but after retirement I moved to a small town in North Carolina. Here I got involved in town politics and community service where I met Freda Roberts. I have two children, a son and a daughter. As my children were growing up bedtimes consisted reading every night. It was at these times I learned to love children’s books and realized how important they were in molding a child’s life. It is my hope the book Freda Roberts and I have written will make a difference in the lives of children.

Then a great adventure and a great friendship begin. All four have to find a way to save Halloween and save Eve Hallows Magic! Luckily Matthew lit his Jack O Lanterns just in time to be helpful, and all he wants in return is a ride on the old broom Niles. Matthew is in for a wonderful time. When disaster strikes, will they be able to save the good witch Eve from losing her magic? Will they save Halloween for every child? The journey of hope never ends if only you believe. |

Angels At My Side by Eva Rice & Freda Roberts Written in poetic verse, Angels at my Side is told through the voice of little Emily who takes comfort in knowing that there are angels watching over her. "There’s an Angel at my side when daylight’s ‘bout to break. There’s an Angel at my side each morning when I wake. There’s an Angel at my side when standing straight and tall. There’s an Angel at my side each time I trip and fall." Children will delight in each of Emily’s proclamations of having her own personal angel right there beside her each and every day.

Bess the Book Bus by Freda Roberts & Concetta M. Payne Everyone calls me "Bess the Book Bus" but I am NOT A PASSENGER BUS! I am a VERY SPECIAL BUS! My creator and dear friend, Jennifer Frances, named me in memory of her nana, Bess O’Keefe. She taught Jennifer the importance and joy of reading. Jennifer’s dream is to deliver free books to all the children that don’t have access to them. That is why I’m a VERY…VERY…SPECIAL BUS! When you climb on board Bess the Book Bus, you will find stacks and stacks of children’s books waiting to be delivered to as many children as possible. Come on board Bess the Book Bus and I will tell you about my many adventures as I traveled on my long and wonderful journey.

Kingdom of Wisteria by Eva Rice & Freda Roberts The quiet and tranquil Kingdom of Wisteria is filled with magnificent rivers, lakes, streams and scenery that would fill any home and garden or nature magazine with pictures of a wonderful place to live. This paradise that we would all love to live in remained calm and serene until the four daughters of the king of our kingdom created an uproar so loud you would have thought they were about to go to battle as warriors in the Kingdom’s army. Now you know that it is totally unladylike to fight and pull hair and act mean to your sisters, but these four could never get along and the lesson that they are about to learn they won’t forget.
