| Blue Diamond Rough by Tracy Saxon After a tragedy in Lulu’s family, her papa comes to live with her family. She blames herself for the tragedy and turns to her grandfather for comfort and friendship. She befriends a Native American girl and doesn’ t think her mother will accept her because of the friend’s skin color. Papa reassures Lulu that this is not the case and tells a story from his youth that is mysterious with greed, bigotry and murder. Lulu introduces her friend to her mother and discovers more shocking news about her family. Her family is not what she thought it to be and her papa opens up the mystery more to a shocked Lulu. |
